Welcome back everyone to another exciting week of weird wedding news! The flowers are starting to bloom, the pollen is caking cars and the sun is staying out even longer...which means it’s definitely time for everyone to start getting hitched! While we wait for some more love-birds to tie the knot, we want to keep you all entertained with some fresh updates on the wedding world! This week, we’ve got Meghan Trainor, the Duggars, weed, and Donald Trump (don’t worry, it’s about cake.) Let’s get down to it!

“All About That Bass” singer, Meghan Trainor, and Spy Kid Daryl Sabara got married back in December. There’s a whole lot to digest with that once sentence (Juni got married?! Did “Dear Future Husband” predict their marriage?) but for the sake of time we will keep our focus limited.
While Meghan is really the performer here, Daryl decided to give her a special show during their wedding. So he choreographed a dance, featuring three key songs “Someone to Watch Over Me,” “Pop! Goes My Heart,” and “Suit and Tie.” Be sure to check out the video in the article to see the wonderfully charming performance.
The dating world changes on almost a daily basis. Dozens of apps can set you up with your soulmate. Another dozen others can find you something a little shorter-term. But for those who remember the Duggar family of 19 Kids and Counting, then you might recall that they don’t do things like most people anymore. Meaning: they do not kiss until the wedding day.
The Duggars don’t “date,” they “court.” Now, some may those two things are identical, but the Duggars explain, “courtship is really waiting for the one God has for you and praying through the whole process.” The kids of the Duggars also must have a chaperone with their “potential spouse,” and all texts between them are monitored. On top of kissing there is no “hand holding or frontal hugging,” believing that this will “set a high standard and create a lasting partnership.”

With more and more states legalizing recreational marijuana, it’s only natural that weed is making its way into your wedding day. Though the dates have already passed for any of this year’s expos, you can still be on the lookout for the Cannabis Wedding Expo in 2020. This year, the organization tried to make their way to Boston but has yet to have luck.
Yet for the pot connoisseurs or simply the hemp-lovers who love the material for their wedding dresses, there are so many reasons to check out the expo. Did you know you could get your own “marijuana floral arrangements,” or find a list of cannabis-friendly venues?” Well now you do! So much so in the past has alcohol been a key component of any wedding, so why not weed?

Singer Toni Braxton, star of Braxton Family Values, and rapper Birdman have had somewhat of a complicated relationship. Back in January, there were rumors that they had gotten secretly married after an Instagram post. However, just a few days ago, they both confirmed that they aren’t married but had indeed come close to being eloped.
A wedding is still in the works, though, as the couple is still engaged. Rumors had emerged that they had also broken up, but a source told Hollywood Life that, “they don’t know how the rumors started but embraced them because it adds the the drama of the show.” So, while we wait for them to actually tie the knot, we can hope that they are happy and are working towards their big day!
Another week and another Bridezilla story! This story comes with an interesting twist: this one has to do with a professional bridesmaid who has decided to dish on some of her favorite bridezilla stories. Earning $5k per client, this job already entails with putting up with quite a bit of weirdness. Weddings are chaotic as is, let alone when you have a bridezilla running rampant.
So you have to imagine she has some pretty wild stories, and she certainly does. On top of having to follow a bachelor party to Ibiza to spy on them, she has also been requested to help other bridesmaids lose weight and keep a diet. Not sure about you, but I would feel pretty rowdy if some random lady came in on a bridal party and started bossing everyone around.

We’ve seen a few wedding cakes hit the auction market over the last few months, especially with all the Royal Wedding hullabaloo we’ve been forced to endure, but now comes the cake of President Donald Trump. Dating back to 2005, the cake is old enough to be in high school now and has an estimated value of $1,500.
The original wedding cake was a “seven-tier behemoth” that cost a reported $50,000 and “weighed some 200 pounds.” It was also reported that “some people at the wedding weren’t able to eat the cake as it ‘contained too much wire for guests to consume.’” So on top of it being potentially inedible, it was also a huge cost. Which sounds about right for Mr. Trump. Still sound tasty?
