Bizarre Wedding News - August 4, 2020

by Scott Johnson

Is it August already? According to the calendars, yes. It is. What a year it has been. As always, we hope you are remaining safe and healthy. Naturally, with some states loosening some restrictions there have been a growing number of weddings happening around the country. While there had been numerous online ones, venues have opened up to limited capacity. More weddings mean more love and marriage of course, but it also means more weird moments to happen. We are back this week checking into some truly Bizarre Wedding News. Evil Mother-in-Laws, conniving Ex’s and unique look into a quarantine wedding are coming your way, so be ready!

There are times you see a video on the internet and find yourself thinking, “Gosh, I really hope that was staged or faked.” But alas, people sometimes really do suck. Take for example this mother-in-law who interrupted her son’s wedding to chastise her future daughter-in-law for saying something regarding his “flaws” during the vows.

Frankly, any sort of interruption in the middle of a ceremony, let alone the vows, is utterly intrusive and just plain awful. Yet the mother-in-law decides to shout, “you’re not gonna say my son has flaws,” before crudely reminding the bride, “that dress you’re wearing, we paid for.”

It’s not a long video, but boy will you feel your blood boil. Check it out if you dare.

The next article is of yet another heckler and an ex at that, so this is bad on many levels. It takes a certain kind of person to show up at a wedding they were clearly not invited to, and with that wedding being your ex, you must be really off your rocker. Which is weird, because when the lady appears in the video, she starts calling out the groom for, “not taking his psych meds today,” because he was acting like he didn’t know her.

It wouldn’t be too hard to assume that perhaps she really is a cuckoo ex from long ago, but Erik Tee from 107Jamz tries to play, “devil’s advocate and ask, what if he was still leading her on into thinking they had a chance? Or maybe he told her it was over but she was just unwilling to accept it. Whatever the case may be, this is a big no-no.

This last article is actually helpful, trust us. If you are wanting to keep things small and easy, this couple discusses how they had to make major changes to their May 30 wedding due to the pandemic. One of the most important factors, which we are sure many people have had to come to terms with, is that, “I didn’t want to admit that our wedding might get canceled.” Through a series of other questions, they break down all the creative, and often difficult, decisions they made in building their own micro-wedding in just a month.

Be sure to check the article out if a big wedding isn’t your style and do not forget that our services are still up for hire even with restrictions in place!
