I don’t know about you, but when it comes to weddings: there’s nothing more fun and wild than having a wholly unique theme or venue. You’ve seen us talk about weddings at White Castle and Walmart before, you’ve also gotten to witness some spooky ones of our own. Today we come to you with three weddings that are equal parts bizarre, lucky, and entirely romantic. The simple truth is: as long as you’re with your significant other, have some rings and an officiant, and are willing to commit the rest of your life to that person, then you could have a wedding just about anywhere.

Imagine you’re on a flight: it’s tight, cramped, there’s a baby crying and you still have three hours to go…wait, maybe imagine a different flight.

Just a few weeks ago, on Southwest Airlines from Vegas to Baltimore, a wedding was held before the flight landed! Talk about a different kind of mile-high club!

Michael and Renee, who reportedly met on Match.com about four years ago, both stood up near the end of their flight and proceeded to make their way to opposite sides of the plane. With Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” in the background, Renee made her way down the aisle to Michael. That’s when the pilot came out to officiate! Though there weren’t any major celebrations onboard (not much room to dance), they were reportedly given a makeshift cake made out of various napkins, straws and toilet paper with words of advice from fellow passengers.

The next wedding we’ll be talking about might earn the record for fastest one ever planned—though there wasn’t entirely too much planning to go along with it. In North Carolina, high school sweethearts Nicole Atkinson and Wesley Bodenheimer, were perusing Facebook when they came across a post from Bella Collina, a fancy wedding venue, that was essentially auctioning off a wedding that had been cancelled just three days before the event.

Not wanting to lose out on the day, owner Joe Destafino decided to post the wedding slot on Facebook in hopes of some nibbles, though he seemed doubtful as it was literally three days away.

But then Atkinson and Bodenheimer messaged him and the rest was history: they got the wedding for half the price, along with the already-arranged DJ, Caterer, flowers and pretty much everything else. Talk about bargain shopping! The only downside is they had to plan everything else in a mere 48 hours, as they had already had a wedding planned for this coming November!

Our final wedding is rather bittersweet. On the day of their wedding, Matthew and Coral Denakis, a couple out of Maryland, a fire broke out inside their house during the wee hours of the morning. With most of the wedding party in their house, which amounted to almost twenty people, it was a miracle everyone got out unscathed. Matthew had his priorities set when he went for just the wedding rings (and his wallet)

Thankfully, the wedding dress had been stored safely and the two were officially married later that day. Claiming they wanted to turn a bad day into a good one, I think they honestly deserve a medal or something. Most people would be in a pretty bad mood if their house blew up, especially on their wedding day.
