Behind the Scenes w/ Best Made Videos® - Anderson Wedding
by Scott Johnson
Welcome back to the Anderson Wedding! We are now going Behind the Scenes into their lovely day at the Rosehill Community Center up in Mukilteo. If you missed the first article, be sure to check it out for some of the highlights from their day!

It’s very rare (and particularly special) when you find couples that have known each other since elementary school. While Danica and Cody did not officially start dating until their junior year of high school, they had first met in 5th grade at King’s Elementary, though the details surrounding their initial introduction have it that Cody was not so present.
Years later, they would find themselves next to each other in Algebra 2, where Danica would always (sneakily) try to beat him at finishing their homework. After winning tickets for the Great Wheel at the Junior-Senior Ball, the two went on a date, and that’s where Cody asked Danica to be his girlfriend.
There is plenty more to their backstory (going to different colleges for a spell, only to wind up together finally and their equally romantic beach proposal), but we have to get into the nitty-gritty of the wedding. An early morning (8:30, to be precise) was kicked off by the arrival of photographer Natalie Malis, of Mist of Morning Photography. An hour of hustling got the gang ready to get Danica into her dress. Within a few short minutes she would be ready to head out for the First Look with Cody down the street near the Mukilteo ferry terminal.
The first look was great fun and supremely adorable. We headed back for group photos and had a good hour to get some goofy shots of everyone. Lunch break was surely a welcome reprieve for the bridal party, because following that it was time for family photos, the license signing and then finally the ceremony at 2. Coordinated by their family friend, Cheryl MacDonald, the day flew by with ease and fun.
After the ceremony there was some time to go and relax, and at 3pm the newlyweds arrived triumphantly for their reception. Catering was done by Rachel and Kathy, as the couple opted for more appetizers and finger foods, while the Pie Co from Fremont supplied the mini pot pies!
And then it was time to dance! With music supplied by another family friend, Karl Lapham, everyone was ready to celebrate this momentous occasion. After about an hour of dancing, it was time for the newlyweds to sneak off for some private photos, before arriving back for their send off! We were lucky enough to catch the final moments of the night, and are also very thankful that Cody and Danica picked Best Made Videos® to film their wedding day!
We hope you enjoyed this deeper dive into their romantic afternoon in Mukilteo. Be sure to be on the lookout for our Favorites of 2019 Countdown! They are just around the corner as we finish off a whole decade! See you all next time.
