Behind the Scenes w/ Best Made Videos® - Lessard Wedding

Whether you celebrate any holidays around this season or not, there is something about the cold air and gloomy days that make you want to be together with the people you love. Sometimes work or other form of duty gets in the way, and there is an unfortunate need to be apart. We hope that the Lessards, whose weddings we get to go Behind the Scenes in today, are doing well as Trent is in active service and the two recently relocated to the east coast.
Trent and Sarah met just a year ago, and within 8 months they were married! Trent was home on leave for bootcamp; thanks to the holidays he got to stay a little longer. This played in nicely as the two became “literally inseparable.” They were together every day, either in person or on FaceTime, of which Sarah says would become their “best friend.”
After the New Year, Trent went back to training and the two stayed in touch as much as possible, falling for each other more each day. Sarah visited Trent on one occasion, which was “So worth the effort,” after a three-hour plane flight and drive through a hot desert, and then the next he proposed! Alone in a hotel room, he proposed to her and set them off down the road to marriage.
We got to the wedding at 2pm, just in time to catch the bride getting into her dress. Rhianna Guevara of Saving Grace Events had the day under control, and as quick as could be we were ready for the first look. The wonderful Canterwood Golf & Country Club in Gig Harbor was a great host for these shots. Great greens and fairways, forced quiet, and open spaces are a few of the reasons why we love golf courses for weddings.
Following photos with Laura from Fyrelite Photography, the bride and groom got a chance for a breather before the ceremony. The ceremony kicked off at 4:30, and within 15 minutes we had newlyweds! Lovely flowers provided by Devin Swick of Good Things Floral Co. were draped around the altar and arranged on the tables for the reception.
Appetizers were served and the license was signed. Almost an hour after their ceremony, the newlyweds had their grand entrance and proceeded to grub out on delicious food. Sparkling cider was served for the toasts, and soon it was time for Clinton from playDJusa to blast out the tunes.
Two and a half hours of partying later, and it was time to wrap things up! A little before things wrapped up, we went out with the newlyweds for some shots on the golf course as twilight set over. Four months later and we hope they are as happy as can be!!
Thank you once again to Sarah and Trent for picking Best Made Videos® to film their wedding day. And thank you to Trent for you service and sacrifices during the holidays.
