“Incredible quality, great communication, and treasured keepsake for our big day!
Working with Reid at Best Made Video's was one of the best decisions we made! We are so thankful we have a video of this amazing day in our lives. They say time flies when you're having fun and that is so true. With Reid capturing this day for us, we're able to see those special moments with our family and friends again. We also get to see some of the moments we missed like the reactions during the ceremony, all our guests mingling during cocktail hour, watching our first dance, and late-night dance battles. One of my bridemaids literally said "That is the best wedding video I have EVER seen!" A family member also told me within seconds of watching the video they were overcome with emotion in their heart.
Reid doesn't just put a bunch of video clips and music together he does an incredible job telling the story of the greatest day of our lives.
A very important thing too, is how easy it is to work with Reid. He reached out to us to check-in and was very responsive to all our questions. We were able to "meet" with him over Facetime when we were first looking for a videographer. Our wedding was in Bellingham, several miles north of Seattle where Reid is based, but he did an excellent job communicating with our wedding coordinator and photographer so that we didn't have to worry about timelines. Everything flowed well that day and Reid and his assistant Jeff did a great job capturing moments between us, our wedding party, and family and friends. Reid is such a friendly and easy-going person with a lot of skill that it felt very natural to have him around to capture the day.
But it doesn't end there! Reid did an excellent job communicating and getting clips and the final video edit to us quickly. He continues to be excited for us and celebrate our special day with thoughtful posts and messages. That is something we really appreciate since he was so close to us all day for this tremendous life event. We highly recommend working with and getting to know Reid!”

Perfectly situated on Bellingham Bay, Hotel Bellwether is one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier luxury hotels. You can see beauty in almost any direction—to the easy is Mt. Baker, while to the west lies the Bay and the San Juan Islands. Those familiar with geography know that you’re also just a hop, skip and a jump away from the Canadian border.
Right at the end of September, it was time for the Kirk wedding. The seasons had just changed, but the unseasonably nice Pacific Northwest (that’s still rearing its beautiful head this week) gave us a magical sunrise to start our day. Nina and Aaron spent the morning gearing up for what will become the most unforgettable day of their life. With views of the bay to add to the splendor, it was almost too distracting to not just sit and watch the waves come rolling in.
The excitement for the day to come was apparent just from the infectious smile Nina had on her face the entire day. We headed off to the church bright and early—there was no making these two wait any longer. Seeing his bride approach, Aaron looked like he just realized he’s the luckiest dude alive. After a traditional ceremony, the two sealed the union with a kiss before they exited the church to their loving families with the church bells signaling the big moment.
Posing for some group shots outside the breathtaking church, the clouds had just started to roll in—though there wasn’t any rain for today! Then we made our way to the hotel, where we got the newlyweds to pose on the lighthouse structure overlooking the bay. The rest of the gang got in on the fun too, with the ladies popping in red dresses and the guys looking suave in traditional black suits.
The reception got off to a great start with none other than wine and beer to get everyone in a celebrating mood. Adorable Lego topped their wedding cake, and the white/gold decor of the reception area made it feel like a royal wedding.
After their family and friends gave their toasts, featuring charming and touching stories about the meeting of the bride and groom, there was so much emotion that it had to be eased with the cake cutting! First dances followed, with the bride and groom not taking their eyes off another for hardly a second.
The day bled into twilight, and the light’s started to come on to illuminate the dance floor. After all the traditions were done, the night flew by with dancing, laughing and celebrating the love of the two newlyweds who brought all these people together. Be sure to stay tuned until the very end of the video for a phenomenal post-credits scene of a particular wedding guest getting down (and dirty?) on the dance floor!
Thank you again to Aaron and Nina for choosing Best Made Videos® to film their wedding! We hope your first two months have been wonderful!

How did you guys meet?
We both moved to Washington from Michigan around the same time but didn't meet until a few years later at a bbq at the local climbing gym. We were introduced by mutual friends and Aaron used the good old-fashioned telephone to call the next day to ask Nina on a date to the outdoor summer concert series "Downtown Sounds"
Tell us about the proposal!
Nina and Aaron were out for a dinner date and to watch a musical about fairy tales, which Aaron's parents bought tickets for Nina's birthday a few months earlier. After watching the musical "Into the Woods" Nina turned around to find Aaron down on one knee. She very happily accepted!
Why did you choose your venue?
Accomodations for bride/groom and guests walking distance from reception. On the water and beautiful views of Bellingham Bay.
What are you most excited to see in the video?
Seeing us enjoy the day with each other, our close friends/family, and seeing our guests have a good time in the beautiful setting of the Pacific Northwest.
Nina and Aaron's story in their own words:
It was July 2015. Nina was volunteering at a BBQ at one her favorite places in town, the local climbing gym. Aaron had skipped an outdoors trip he was planning for that weekend. Instead, he decided to join his friends who were on their way to the climbing gym.
Aaron and Nina were introduced by mutual friends. They were surprised to find out they knew so many of the same people but had never met. They were even more surprised, and excited, to learn they had both moved over 2,000 miles away from their home state of Michigan to Bellingham, WA. They spent the rest of the evening talking about climbing, soccer, and Michigan vs. Michigan State.
The next day, Aaron called Nina and asked her if she would like to go to an outdoor summer concert that week. Nina happily accepted and the rest, like Aaron’s college major, is history.
