We interrupt our Favorites of 2018 Countdown to bring you some more wacky, wild and weird news from the wide world of weddings! That’s a lot of Ws! Here’s another; winter is finally here and it’s time to dive back into some crazy stories that have happened in the past few weeks. This time around we have cakes, clowns, clunking cars and a blast from the past with a little Jersey Shore reunion! Let’s get down to business:
Talk about making the best of a not-so-great situation! A newlywed couple were heading to their reception in Houston in absolute style: by riding in a 1966 Princess car, something you’d likely see the high rollers driving by in. As they were on the highway into Houston, their vintage car finally decided to show its age and crapped out on them!
But for all that could have been a horrible situation, the couple had their wedding photographer with them to do a little impromptu photoshoot! Along with a few members of the bridal party, the photographer took some shots of them while they waited for the mechanic to arrive. According to the bride, everything had been going perfectly up until that point. But, in a way, wasn’t this just perfect, too?

Here’s a couple of words we never thought would go together: drunken clown at a wedding. This isn’t some IT shenanigans gone bizarro, but rather a perfectly executed excuse to get a friend into his wedding after some “painful cuts” had to be made. Apparently, a friend of the groom had to be uninvited due to rising costs for the big day, so the groom asked him if he would “crash” the wedding as a drunken clown.
Getting into costume before the reception, the new Pennywise slugged down a couple drinks before making his way into the party. Almost thrown out by security, his identity was finally revealed and he soon joined in on the party!

I will be the first to admit that I have never actually seen any of the Jersey Shore, so forgive me if I am not an expert on all the members, though I do know Snooki showed up on WWE at some point or another.
Back in November, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino got married to his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Pesce. Held at The Legacy Castle, Lauren wore a lace gown while The Situation wore a typical black tux.
Also in attendance were some of their old pals from the show, including Snooki herself, JWoww, DJ Pauly D and more. Those who attended claim it was highly emotional and the reception featured tons of food. Congrats to the newlyweds!

Let’s cap this week off with some cake: and by cake, we mean some of the most amazing cakes you have ever seen. Buzzfeed recently published an article with fun facts about celebrity wedding cakes. Many of which are just so completely outrageous that you have to wonder if they’re fake: like Kaley Cuoco’s chandelier cake.
Another fun fact is David and Victoria Beckham cut their cake with a sword, which is pretty rad, and you can still buy part of Princess Diana’s cake for upwards of 700 euros. If you want to start feeling hungry, click on the link above to learn more about all of these crazy cakes!
