Well wouldn’t you know it, the hot times are back. Be sure to soak up as much sun as you can, because before too long it is going to be too cold and rainy to venture outdoors. Whenever you find yourself in a cozy, shady position, we are back at ‘em with some truly Bizarre stories this week. Weddings have been picking up all over the country again, which is great news for us (we have even shot a few of our own) as there are certainly some weird stories to come out of them. This week we have cake ideas, bachelorette party woes, and a genuinely freaky occurrence. Intrigued? So are we!

Whether you have attended one or not, bachelorette (and bachelor for that matter) parties can go on to have some crazy stories. Coming from SomeCards, is a look at 18 wild bachelorette party tales that may seem more like the plot of a crazy comedy flick. Sourced from good ol’ Reddit, a user posed the question “what was the worst bachelorette party you’ve ever been to and why?”

Anybody who has ever visited Reddit will know that the stories will make you gasp with fear and curiosity. While some of these are NSFW, one of the tales includes arriving at a college classmate’s party only to find out it was a “Mary Kay ‘party’ and we spent the night sitting around the dining room table in front of tiny plastic mirrors, being instructed on how to apply sample products to our faces and being pitched a sale.” They conclude, with the only positive, “at least I had wine.” Be sure to take a look at some of the other bonkers stories!

There is no doubt that 2020 has been, well, not so great. But for Aaron and Denice Sawitsky, they got the most blatant indicator from Mother Nature that 2020 is not to be trifled with. At their wedding in Massachusetts, abiding by guidelines, Aaron was delivering his vows, “Let’s face it, 2020 has not been the best year…”

As if planned by some black magic, as the line was delivered, a lightning bolt struck in the distance beyond the lake, right into the shoreline. Of course, questions can be begged on whether it was the safest idea to have a wedding with a lightning storm going on, but nonetheless, it is as stark a reminder as one needs that this year is not one we will likely want to remember!

Hey, guess what? We love cake. And we definitely love anything that makes the cake look even more enticing. Coming from Pop Sugar is a list of ways to make your wedding cake look more like a work of art than a delicious treat. Ideas like cascading flowers (whether real or frosting) down the side of your cake will have you drooling at the sight. Another idea, which will make your inner child squeal with delight, is to use funfetti to punctuate your cake with brilliant colors.

Our favorite is definitely what is titled “sugar work,” which are “sugar flowers, gum paste details, or even a fully colored cake,” with the image showing “slices” of various citrus fruits. Boy are we hungry now!
