How did you guys meet?: We met on match.com - Alberto found Deanna. We messaged back and forth for about a week, getting to know each other. I asked her out for a first date, I had planned a nice dinner at an upscale Italian restaurant. Dinner went really well, so I asked her if she wanted to go get a drink somewhere else; we ended up spending 7 hours together on that first date talking and laughing.
Tell us about the proposal!: Due to Covid I had to scrap my original plan of whisking her off on a jet to a romantic location. Instead, I took her out on the Olympic Peninsula for a day trip of exploring and picnicking. After our lunch, as we were walking along Kalaloch Beach right next to the ocean, waves threatened to get us. I took a deep breath and dropped to one knee with a prepared speech in mind. I was so nervous the speech was immediately forgotten and I don't remember exactly what I said. In essence, it was about my deep love for her, happiness, and asking for her hand in marriage.
Why did you choose your venue?: Because it is unique, it's a castle, like my last name, and has an atmosphere I think that reflects us.
What are you most excited to see in the video?: Capturing the personalities of our guests, both pre and post-ceremony. Capturing the vows and the sand unity ceremony with our daughters. The location itself, its unique features, and atmosphere. Everyone walking down the aisle. The girls all getting ready in the room. Capturing any and all emotional reactions.
