How did you guys meet?: After moving back from Texas, Katie was looking for someone as cheesy as Torchy’s queso. Enter Elliott. The two bonded over a few halfway decent margaritas and gossip. Getting to know each other, Katie let Elliott play tour guide in her new home city; Katie imparted her love of the US Post Office and stationery. Katie always makes it known to her friends that she cares about them, even from afar. One evening in September, in typical Seattle dating fashion, Elliott casually asked if Katie was “seeing anyone else”, to which Katie responded in a moderately Texas fashion “No; Does this make you my boyfriend?” Then, Elliott promptly left for Europe, but made sure to send back post cards to keep the flame lit.
Tell us about the proposal!: Elliott finally made the move, proposing on August 14th, 2021, at The Ballard Locks and Fish Ladder, Seattle’s sexiest venue.
Why did you choose your venue?: Quality food and beverage is important to us, and we wanted to give our friends a very Seattle experience.
What are you most excited to see in the video?: All our friends and family smiling and dancing.
When and where's the honeymoon?!?!: TBD; We're doing a short get-away to Victoria, BC :)
