How did you guys meet?: We first met in elementary school, but really became friends in middle school through wrestling. He was a wrestler and I was the wrestling team manager. He had a big crush on me in middle school and would tease me like annoying middle school boys do. We officially started dating in high school, I was 15 he was 16. Fun facts, I asked him to be my boyfriend after I denied his initial asking. He told me if I wanted to date him after that I had to ask him:) and we are getting married on our 10 year anniversary.
Tell us about the proposal!: It is a little sad! My nana was diagnosed with Alzheimer's back in 2018, and was declining quickly. I knew she wouldn't be able to be at our actually wedding based on her condition, but wanted to share our engagement with her at least. Every time I saw her all she would talk about was us and when we were getting engaged/married. I told him how badly I wanted her to at least be around for our engagement and without hesitation he said, "let's go get your ring this weekend" (we already had it picked out). So we decided to go pick up my ring together that Sunday, went to my dads fish market and asked for his blessing, then when we got in the car he said, "so will you marry me?". That night we got to see my nana, and she was the first person we got to tell. Her reaction was perfect and all I needed for a great proposal story. Unfortunately she did pass away April of 2020, so that day is very special to me.
Why did you choose your venue?: Covid made us! We lost our original venue due to Covid, so the hall was our back up
What are you most excited to see in the video?: I'm most excited to see the people we invite. We had to cut down our wedding a whole lot, so getting to see everyone's excitement for us is going to be fun. And of course our actual ceremony, I can't wait to see Austins reaction!
When and where's the honeymoon?!?!: No honeymoon, thanks covid! We hate traveling though so we will probably do a staycation if we do something.
