He knows exactly what he’s doing and does everything to ensure your day goes smoothly and is stress free! Thank you to everything you did for us!”
“Reid was the first vendor we chose to share our special day with. I knew from the first second I watched one of his videos, that I needed him to capture our day. I can’t say it enough – we were thankful and lucky to have him! Not only did we receive and amazing wedding video, but we have basically every second of the day to go back and look on. His team was so professional, creative and fun! Reid does an amazing job of keeping the flow of the day as smoothly as possible and keeps you sane! I can’t thank him enough and I cannot wait to view everything twenty years from now. Thanks again for EVERYTHING!”
As has been said before, we love going out to golf courses for a wedding. The rolling fairways, spouting fountains out of water traps, and the sense of serenity that comes from everyone trying to be quiet for a shot, only to hear the occasional thwack (or obscenity), make for beautiful backdrops and a lack of distraction. Indian Summer Golf and Country Club, situated down by the state capital of Olympia, is as wonderful as any other golf course we’ve attended.
The Smith wedding was greeted by some late-June overcast, though the hot sun was able to burn most of the clouds away by afternoon. Regardless, the morning got off to a splendid start. The boys sat around watching sports and sipping drinks, while the ladies got their hair and makeup done.
Once the boys were decked out in suits, they headed off to pose for some photos. They looked quite illustrious in front of a tunnel, though that would soon be ruined by their silliness—and we were ok with it! Joking around and getting the energy flowing, it was a great way to keep spirits high. Meeting underneath a great big tree, draped with ribbons and a chandelier, the soon-to-be newlyweds met where they would later hold the ceremony. The sheer size of the tree dwarfed the two, but the smiles and excitement they had were bigger than anything.
We then got some cool shots of all the bridesmaids and groomsmen peering off from the balcony before they joined the bride and groom for massive group photos. With the wide shots, you could really see the enormity of the course, it also helped amplify Tarissa and Ryan’s love for each other.
Some more intimate photos followed, but before too long it was time to get married! Returning to where the first look was held, now decked out with dozens of chairs, it was as picturesque as one would ever dream. As the guests filed in, flowers were strewn across the floor and eventually the bride made her way down the aisle.
With the officiant as the sister to the groom, it felt even more poignant. Though there were a few (happy) tears in his eyes, the groom looked absolutely ready to marry his bride. Following a tear-jerking ceremony, with a beautiful poem read by the officiant and even more tender vows spoken by the bride and groom, they finally got the permission to kiss and become husband and wife!
There was some time for photos following the ceremony, which bled into the reception. A night of partying and dancing helped cap off a gorgeous wedding day, though the real magic of the night happened when the newlyweds made their way up a little hill at the optimum golden hour for an absolutely breathtaking shot. It was the perfect punctuation to the end of the day!
Thank you again to Tarissa and Ryan for choosing Best Made Videos to film their wedding! We hope the first few weeks of marriage have gone swimmingly!

Tarissa and Ryan’s story in their own words:
How did you guys meet?
Ryan’s mom and I worked together. Ryan also worked with us while he was home for summer. Once he moved home, we started talking and have been together ever since.
Tell us about the proposal!
One day, Ryan and I were playing catch outside with a foam football and I sprained my ring finger. A couple months later, we were playing catch and after a couple of tosses back and forth, I noticed the foam football was hard on one side. Ryan cut a square piece out of the foam football to fit the ring box inside. After I realized what was going on, he walked over to me and got down on one knee.
Why did you choose your venue?
We wanted and indoor/outdoor wedding. Plus, Ryan loves to golf.
What are you most excited to see in the video?
Tarissa – Ryan is a shy, calm, quiet guy…I’m excited to see how he will be on the wedding day. I also love when you guys cut the music and add in normal conversations & voiceover music.
Ryan says – our faces when we see each other & showing us together
Anything else?
We are excited, we love your wedding videos!
