How did you guys meet?: Mitch and I met on September 7, 2019 at Ozzie's in lower Queen Anne. Mitch was at the bar watching the UW vs. Cal football game that had been delayed for weather. He's a huge college football fan and had a bet on the game (I think he bet on Cal!). Neither of us were planning to go to Ozzie's that night, so it was a total fluke we met. I saw him at the bar, took a tequila shot, and then went up to him to tell him I thought he was cute. We danced to Cupid Shuffle and have been inseparable ever since.
Tell us about the proposal!: Mitch and I had designed my engagement ring, so I knew an engagement was coming in the future. I was totally surprised. Mitch worked with my parents and his parents to create an excuse for Mitch and I to go on an impromptu weekend trip to Semiahmoo. My parents set up our room for when we arrived, and Mitch proposed once we walked into the room. My parents were hiding in the bathroom, and we all celebrated that night.
Why did you choose your venue?: I've loved Semiahmoo since I first went in 2016. Mitch and I started going there for birthday celebrations in 2021. Then, we got engaged there! We've always known we'd get married at Semiahmoo.
What are you most excited to see in the video?: Our first look with each other and all the special moments together throughout the day. I just want to see everyone happy and enjoying the day we've all been waiting for.
When and where's the honeymoon?!?!: Hawaii in October. Going to Kona, Maui, and Honolulu!
Anything else?: We're excited to spend the day with you! And to have you capture this special day for us.
