How did you guys meet?: On Tinder! Daniel was looking for something serious and Gaby was looking for something casual and fun. Following the first date we were inseparable and Gaby succumbed to Daniel’s charm and decided she was looking for something serious too.
Tell us about the proposal!: Gaby and Daniel had talked about the potential of an engagement and had picked out some rings together. Gaby bought Daniel the cool bio-tech Oura Ring as a gift, and also as an engagement ring. Gaby won a photography giveaway session in Olympia and used that ring to pop the question to Daniel in April 2023.
Gaby of course added the caveat that we weren’t truly engaged until Daniel proposed to her too.
Daniel scheduled a photographer and told Gaby that we had several dates lined up in May 2023. We set out on our inaugural first date of the several planned and Daniel popped the questions at Gas Works Park with picturesque Seattle skyline in the background. Gaby was totally shocked as she thought for sure the proposal would come later in the month.
We had a fun engagement party with close friends the weekend after and shared the good news.
Why did you choose your venue?: It’s a beautiful indoor and outdoor space with plenty of room to spread out.
What are you most excited to see in the video?: Our first look and private vows, ceremony, and then dance party with all our friends and family!
