Do you smell that in the air? That smell of flowers, pollen and the unforgettable scent of fresh rain on dry pavement. Spring is officially here and we are just so freaking happy about it. Warm weather means getting to go outside, see the pretty flowers...but most importantly it’s wedding season! Cue up the opening of Wedding Crashers and that’s pretty much how we’re feeling right now. Nevertheless, the weird world of wedding news still exists so we will continue to keep you informed while we go shoot some more weddings! Let’s get down to this week’s stories!

Fasten your seatbelts everyone, we’re heading to Malaysia! Yeah, you heard that right (and yes, the weird world of weddings is this big!) We all are suckers for Amazon Prime free delivery. The thrill of getting any online delivery is up there with some the best things in life.

But what about literally during your wedding ceremony? Now, I’ve been excited for some packages before, but to have one interrupt a wedding might not go over so well. Peny, a Malaysian bride, was getting hitched when a postman arrived to make her sign for a package. Everyone turned a bright red, and they even invited him for some photos! Watch the video for the full hilarity!

This one will hopefully thaw out the rest of those frozen hearts leftover from winter. An Alabama photographer shot a wedding with Mary Bourne Butts and her husband Jim a few months ago. What made it so special is the photographer was able to capture a poignant moment when Mary danced with her father who is wheelchair-bound.

The video garnered so much attention, that even Ellen DeGeneres caught wind of it and invited the newlyweds to the show where they received a $25,000 check from Cheerios. For more of the emotional details, click the link above...but be sure to bring tissues!

This one is quite the tale, and is described by the host of the podcast as “next-level crazy.” Referring to a Facebook post leaked by a bridesmaid, this is just another one of those wonderful bridezilla stories. In it, the bride outlines a dress code for her bridesmaids, including specific colors for specific sized girls. Also, they had to spend at least $1,000 on their dresses.

But then once this post got out, the bride made all of her bridesmaids take a polygraph test. Not kidding whatsoever. For the full story, be sure to listen to the whole podcast!

You may remember an article from another Bizarre Wedding News that dug into some deals you can score by doing part of your wedding shopping at Costco. Well, I hate to say it...I mean, I really hate to say this: this article really takes...the cake.

With that all said and done, there is some real concern to be had here. Costco is now selling a wedding cake made entirely of cheese. Known as the Sid Wainer & Son Cheese Lover Artisan Wedding Cake...you can get it for the price of $440. What you get is approximately 24 lbs of cheese that can serve at least 100 people (maybe less depending on who you invite) and comes with, “Danish Blue, Murcia al Vino, Tuscan Sheep’s Cheese, and Brillat Savarin Triple Cream Brie.” If you hadn’t heard of most of those you aren’t alone...but for almost $500 you can taste them all yourself!

The name Tutera might sound familiar to you, and if you’ve been reading our Bizarre Wedding News over the last few weeks, that’s exactly where you heard it. Being a celebrity wedding planner, he usually always makes our lists. Last time was because he welcomed a new daughter with his partner. But now he is also launching his own bridal collection.

Called “David Tutera Bridal,” the line of “custom wedding dresses” was launched at the end of January. The already prolific designer and planner has detailed the pricing, and before you have a heart attack, note that these are all “custom and couture.” You can pick up one of these gowns for as low as $4,800 or as much as close to $10k. Wedding dresses are utterly important, so would you pull the trigger on one of these?

Celebrities are always doing something crazy when it comes to weddings. Swords, animals, week-long celebrations and more have dotted our Bizarre Wedding News dozens of times. This article from Insider goes in-depth with all of the crazy wedding dresses celebrities have rocked on their wedding day. And some of them really are crazy.

A long, long time ago, Shakespeare fanboy and Harry Potter star Kenneth Branagh was married to another Harry Potter legend, Emma Thompson. Her dress, though, is a sight to behold. Dropping just past the knee and chock-full of a bevy of colors, she looked utterly adorable in their 1989 wedding.

On the complete opposite side of the spectrum, you have Baywatch alum Pamela Anderson who got married in pretty much the exact manner you would expect her to. In a white string bikini. Oh, and she did it twice.

Of course you also have the amazing Vivienne Westwood dress for Dita Von Teese’s wedding to Marilyn Manson. The “iridescent violet” gown is described as, “the 18th century and the 22nd century had a baby.” From the looks of it, that sounds pretty darn accurate.
