While they are certainly known for having the “Champagne of Beer,” Miller High Life is now known for throwing weddings...of sorts. According to the article, three selected couples will receive a “wedding at their doorstep.” What this entails is, “an officiant, a photographer, food, $10,000 to pay for a honeymoon or cancellation costs, and limited-edition Champagne coupe cans of beer.”

I don’t know about you, but if you are able to pack everyone out in your front yard, this may be a great idea! You have until May 1 to enter your “150-word-or-less description of how your wedding plans were changed in 2020,” so you better hop to it!

In a little bit of good news when it comes to rescheduling your big day in the face of the COVID-19 crisis, two Hawaiian nurses postponed their celebration and got surprised by their family and friends instead! The couple has posted a photo online of them at work in their scrubs and PPE, each with signs that read “We were supposed to get married today, but instead we went to work for you. Stay home for us.”

Since they were both in the medical field they knew it was the right thing to do, but that didn't make it any easier however. Even though they didn't get their dream wedding, their families went out of their way to make what was their big day special. 20 or so family and friends gathered together over video chat, to toast and celebrate the couple for a celebration that lasted about 4 hours! “People were loud, people got drunk. It was like a real wedding party…we even cut the cake. It’s going to be hard to top that."

The couple has tentatively reschedule their nuptials for August, fingers crossed!

Here is some good news to cap things off for you all. Down in Florida, a restaurant manager “decided to replace the wooden patio deck since the Fort Lauderdale restaurant is only serving take-out during the coronavirus pandemic.” Lo and behold, underneath the the deck he found “a gold coin, $100 bills, piles of mud and a silver wedding ring with the inscription ‘Mike & Lisa 08-21-15.’”

So he went to Facebook with a picture of the rings, and within a matter of days they had managed to locate the owners. Mike had lost his wedding band three years prior when it slipped through the floorboards, assuming it had fallen to the water below. But by now, they should be reunited!
