“Impeccable
Truly the best videographer we could’ve asked for. They’re very kind, understanding, and communicate with you in a timely manner. They do their best to know exactly what you want in your video and they follow through! I’ve recommended them to several friends and will continue to do so. 10/10 ⭐️ We love watching our wedding video ❤️”
Everyone holding up ok? As of right now, it seems like our little stay-at-home order is coming to an end soon, but that can always change. We are entering into what would normally be wedding season, so we’re in a reminiscing mood. While summer seems a little closer and a lot more welcoming, fall has the potential of being utterly beautiful, especially when it comes to weddings. Our day with the Mackies over in Snohomish definitely proved to be one of the most gorgeous weddings of 2019, let’s take a look!
How lucky we were to have an outdoor wedding in October. Complete with pumpkins, orange leaves and a myriad of other wonderful Autumn amenities, our day over at Green Gates at Flowing Lake was completely breathtaking. We arrived at mid-day, eager to start capturing the bride and groom getting ready. The lavish spaces inside the rustic buildings were comforting in the fall chill, and within a short time of us getting there, Jami and Mackenzie were ready for their First Look.
The rustic buildings and overall scenery of Green Gates (perhaps owing to its equestrian-based past) gave us spectacular backdrops for photos with the bride and groom. An overwhelmed Kenzie turned to greet Jami and they shared a few kisses before traipsing around the rest of the grounds. A little while later, the bridal party joined in and soon afterwards the family.
Following our splendid photoshoot, the bride and groom had a brief respite before the main event. Three hours had already flown by with Jami and Kenzie, and now it was time to see them become husband and wife. Overlooking Flowing Lake, the ceremony space out on the lawn has certainly found its way into our favorites, and is undoubtedly a reason why these two chose the venue. With a plunge that nearly dropped Jami to the floor, Kenzie dipped his now-wife and sealed the deal.
Paperwork was next, while the guests mingled in the various areas around the estate. Once the business was done, the DJ announced the wedding party, and for the first time we heard the words, “Mr and Mrs Mackie.” It was an early dinner, with plenty of great food to feast on so that everyone was fueled up for hours of dancing. Toasts followed dinner, with cake cutting quickly after. And so began the first dances, with father and daughter up first followed by mother and son.
Once the bouquet and garters had been caught, it was officially open dance. The covered space was immaculate with hanging lights and chandeliers crisscrossing the walls. After the strobe lights kicked in, there was hardly a butt in a seat. Everyone was having a grand old time with no intention of stopping soon. Alas, with early sunsets at this time of year, the party had to come to a close.
