With Seattle in a bit of a craze due to Carmageddon caused by the “Seattle Squeeze,” it’s about that time to help take your mind of the stresses of an overly-long commute with some great new stories from the world of weddings! This week we’ve got blindfolds, roller skates, a trip to India and more! Let us get down to it!

The world has been taken by storm by Netflix’s new horror film, Bird Box. Sort of a riff on A Quiet Place, characters must survive in a world blindfolded due to monsters being able to possess you through exposed eyes or something. Sounds crazy, but it’s their most watched movie now--even still, this story pre-dates the movie, though it will certainly be repeated from now on as most young kids these days are trying their own “Bird Box” challenges with disastrous results.
Stephanie Agnew had lost her site about five years ago, and on her wedding day she wanted everyone else to experience the wedding as she was about to. So she asked them to wear blindfolds. Universally supported, it went off without a hitch and helped provide a really unique atmosphere for the wedding!
You want to talk about big weddings? One of the biggest of 2018 was held about a month ago in India and saw the marriage of Isha and Mukesh Ambani (thought to be the richest man in India). A lakeside Italian palace served as the host for the engagement party back in September, but the pre-wedding parties saw thousands of people arrive including Hillary Clinton, Beyonce and more.
If you were thinking that that was all the celebrating to be done, you’re wrong. More parties followed, as did the guests. Remember Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding not too long ago? We don’t either after this!
Think you had a pretty cool first dance at your wedding? I’m sure it was choreographed, timed and practiced to no end. But I have one question to ask: did you do it on roller skates?
I bet about 99.9% of you answered “no,” because none of you would want to imagine eating dirt after face-planting on your wedding day.
Chrissy Mitchell and her dad decided that they would do something really special for their dance after she got married to Kevin. Having skated for most of her life, it was a mutual bond she had with her dad, making perfect sense to break out the wheels for their big dance. Be sure to check out the pictures and videos in the article!

The final story this week brings the laughs and snickers with a hilarious photoshoot. If you have ever been in a siblings wedding, or even seen them date, you’re likely to want to give them some flak, roll your eyes when they kiss, or, like Elena did, prank her brother during their wedding photos.
The picture does all the work: Elena, whose younger brother Chris had just wed Lucy, decided to make a bit of a face...the face we all make when our siblings do something gross. The picture is worth a million bucks as the newlyweds embrace in a kiss while Elena...looks sour. Don’t worry, it has garnered a lot of publicity and shortly after the shot Elena went back to being on her best behavior for her little bro!
And that is it for this week! Thank you for stopping by, even if you were forced to because of the Seattle Squeeze. Have any stories of your own to share? We would love to have them!
