Welcome back everyone to another scrumptious edition of Bizarre Wedding news! This week we have a quick, tasty treat for you as this article has entirely to do with dessert...but most importantly cake. That’s right, folks, we are dedicating a whole edition to cake (and its many alternatives!) So buckle in (or loosen your pants up) and grab a fork, because it’s eating time!

Let’s get this started off with the State of Cakes in 2019. Thanks to Popsugar, there are seventeen photos of amazing, wonderful cakes for you to, well, feast your eyes on. Like everything else when it comes to weddings, cakes have undergone a number of transformations--especially with the millenials now getting hitched.

Though I won’t be able to describe all of these in one fell swoop in order to save my stomach, a few really stand out. Like Gothic Chocolate, with its painstakingly detailed skulls and flowers, it’s absurd that all of this will be devoured all-too quickly. Or take a look at Artistic Brushstrokes from Simon’s Bakery which looks like someone had some fun with a paintbrush all on one side of the cake. It’s about time y’all check out the article for yourself, I’m getting hungry!

Have you been to a wedding recently where you saw some fluffy goodness around? I’m not talking about snow (oh please, no more snow), but rather Cotton Candy. According to Lollipuff Gourmet Cotton Candy, located in Provo, Utah, the delicious treat is making more and more waves at weddings as they years go by. Not just for eating, but for decoration as well, the owner of Lollipuff describes it as “the new cupcake.”

Take a seat, because they have over thirty flavors. If you’re mouth isn’t salivating just yet, you should know they have everything from the classics to some wild ideas like Mango Chili, Limi Ricky and Lavender. I don’t know about you, but I definitely want some Cotton Candy..and not just at my wedding!

If you’ve been reading this article and find yourself thinking, “gosh, I really hate cake.” For one, I’m sorry. And two, here is what you have been waiting for. So what do you serve at your wedding? Let me tell you, cake is only the tip of the iceberg.

Did you think cinnamon rolls were just for breakfast? WRONG! They’re for weddings too: picture a lovely little brown tower gooped up with that white frosting as it cascades down to the other layers. While we’re on that subject, try some cereal and milk with some of your childhood favorites and all the toppings your mom never gave you to put on it! The last one I’ll mention is a no-go from me, but all you pizza nuts out there should know you can get a ranch dressing fountain to go along with your cheesy goodness! Did you have something other than cake at your wedding? Let us know below!
