Welcome everyone to another installment of Bizarre Wedding News! I hope everyone had a wonderful and reflective Memorial Day weekend. This week we have a few fun stories including some new forms of bridezillas, catching up with a handful of celebrities, and some tragic news about missing wedding videos. Get ready, here we go!
Another horrendous story of a production company failing to deliver the goods, this time in Florida. IT has now been over a year since Melissa got married in St. Augustine, and the only taste of her big day she’s received is a three-minute teaser trailer. She paid $800 for that, as well as the rest of the footage, but Kevin Remington of Collab-Creation Films has yet to hear back from him.
Spamming him with emails over the course of a few months, she has never heard back from him. Action News Jax also got in on the investigation and discovered that the company is indeed closed and that several reviews on theknot.com have all but confirmed what was suspected: this guy was a no-good fraud. But they also started contacting Kevin’s family…which is where things get crazy. Read the article for the shocking conclusion!
Bridezillas run rampant all the time. Not all brides end up turning into one, however the ones who do usually end up with quite the tale about their demeanor. This week will definitely ruffle some feathers and might make you question your own ethics and morality.
In the ever-heated subject of veganism, many people just try to keep to themselves about their eating habits and not force them upon others. One bride, however, posted to a vegan Facebook group about how she was going to require all of her wedding guests to eat from a vegan menu at her wedding. Normally, this may not be a huge issue. There are plenty of delicious vegan foods (many of which people like me can’t eat because I’m allergic to soy, nuts and legumes, but that’s neither here nor there), but it’s how she doubled-down on the claim that made her an enemy,
In an attempt to give contect, she claimed “some family members were told they are not invited to my wedding because we don’t want to host murderers. Our wedding is supposed to be one of the happiest days of our lives.” Her mother and two cousins were then barred from the wedding. Vegans and vegetarians out there, do you share this sentiment? Or do you want your guests to eat meat and other animal products at your wedding?
Most people really don’t want their exes around in general. There is probably a good reason you broke up, after all, but if you can stand each other’s presences, then more power to you!
But a wedding is the one place you typically don’t want anyone around with romantic history. Brides.com surveyed several people whose exes actually ended up at their weddings and the reasons will surprise you.
Sometimes people get lucky, like Tami, who claims that “you don’t have to hate an ex when the relationship is over.” Her ex was always a better friend than a lover, so they just stayed that way without any bumps or pain!
Another one was more pre-emptive than anything, Raquel claims that “I just felt like if my ex was going to be at my wedding, I didn’t want to have anxiety about him showing up unexpectedly or crashing the party.” So she invited him, and he respectfully declined! Sometimes things do work out ok!

After her spree of Oscar-nominated movies, Jennifer Lawrence hasn’t quite been making the same waves as before. But that’s about to change as she got engaged back at the beginning of February. After a brief fling with director Darren Aronofsky, Lawrence is now engaged to art dealer Cooke Maroney. The engagement is news in itself, but the ring on her finger should be sending the Breaking News alerts out.
The ring made its first public appearance at Dior’s Paris Fashion Show (Lawrence herself is signed by Dior) and boy is the thing is massive. When you look at the giant emerald-cut diamond, you’ll notice it’s hardly being supported by the tiny band around her finger. No word has been announced about the date for the wedding, but you can bet we will be covering it when it happens!
Glee star Lea Michele has been engaged for over a year now to AYR president Zandy Reich, and you can bet the musical actress is ecstatic for just about every aspect of the wedding…but particularly the food. She was quoted in PureWow as saying, “On Sunday, I requested for a bagel bar with every kind of bagel and every kind of spread and Bloody Marys.” Her hubbie-to-be, a Philadelphia-native, had some food ideas for himself, asking for a Philly cheesesteak bar.
She then corrected herself saying that she really is excited to being around “everyone I love. All together, everyone that’s there with me and Zandy.” Either way, we’re excited to see this wedding happen! Check back in later to when it happens for more coverage!
