Welcome back everyone to another informative edition of Behind the Scenes w/ Best Made Videos®! This is our new series where we take you further inside the weddings we cover, showcasing vendors, the love-story and more! This time around we have a classy wedding at one of the classiest joints in town: the Edgewater Hotel! Get ready to rock-n-roll, it’s time to dive in!

College is a great time for learning, meeting new people, partying, and falling in love. Like a lot of our weddings we get to see, college sweethearts usually have an abundantly romantic story that demonstrates the bond the two held throughout their time in college. Anna and Raymond were both student leaders at UW-Tacoma, and as such they were “often required to collaborate.” With views of each other’s office from opposite sides of the hall, the two have gone from work pals and neighbors to husband and wife!
If their fateful meeting didn’t make you swoon, then perhaps their Disneyworld proposal will? After touring the different pavilions at Epcot, Raymond popped to a knee in front of the Italian one, particularly the Trevi Fountain. They have now been there twice!
Anna was kind enough to provide us with a full schedule for their day, which started promptly at 10am with yogurt parfaits delivered right to the bride’s room. Planned by the awesome Cake & Lace Events (shoutout to Annie Truong!), things went splendidly well! We wouldn’t get their until 1:30, though we would get to see the final touches added to their makeup (Ivonne Mendoza of I.M. Artistry gets the cred here!) and outfits. Some grub around lunch time filled the bride and groom up for an afternoon of events; our only wish was to join them for the lettuce wraps and Wagyu beef sliders!
Once 3pm hit, it was time for a flurry of photoshoots. Kicking off with the First Look, we got a solid hour with the bride and groom until the bridal party jumped in. Half-an-hour later, it was time for the family photos until we wrapped it up at 5pm to give the soon-to-be-newlyweds a chance to unwind before taking center stage.
One of our all-time favorites, Reverend Ray Van Winkle arrived shortly before the ceremony, as I Was Made For Loving You by Tori Kelly and Ed Sheeran would start the show, switching to Canon in D Major for the processional. Ultimately ending up with the soul-wrenching Can’t Help Falling in Love performed by Kima Grannis, it was a superb selection of music that made us all a little misty-eyed.
Once the bride and groom were hitched, the guests were treated to snacks and drinks Edgewater Hotels great catering staff. Arriving at 7:30, the newlyweds would rock-out to Don’t Stop the Party by Pitbull and TJR. After the bellies were full of food, it was time to enjoy Missy Bakes’ goods, and to party to DJ Insaiyan’s excellent skills.
Dancing would go on for about three hours, even including an outfit change, before finally capping off before midnight!
We had a blast at the Luu - Huynh wedding and hope you had as much fun learning about more of what went into making it such a special day! We want to thank Raymond and Anna one last time for picking Best Made Videos® to film their big day!
