Another point goes to Tinder for playing Cupid. Miles and Megan met while he was in town for the holidays. He took her on “the ultimate tourist date,” as she was fresh to the city. As everyone should do with a Tinder date, he “built in ‘escape’ points if things weren’t going well.” It turns out that they spent 8 hours together and, well, the rest is history.

Meticulously planned down to five-minute intervals, their big day had started before we got to JM Cellars at 11am. As they were finishing up, we got the detail shots with photographer Mike Fiechtner. The dresses and suits were on within the next thirty minutes, and Megan was whisked away to the bocce court to have her first look with dad. Not long after, she made her way down to the pond to have her first look with Miles. While we were getting shots with the lovebirds, the bridesmaids and groomsmen were getting their final touches on so that at 12:45 everyone could head to the church via Butler Valet.

Once at the church, we had nearly an hour for wedding party photos. Everyone was at ease, all full of smiles, and beyond excited to see Miles and Megan get hitched. At 2pm the ceremony was begun with Canon in D Major while the party made their way in. Megan was brought out to Trumpet Voluntary and Miles met her and her father, both overflowing with joy. A nice big dip of a kiss announced the newlyweds, and it was off to do the paperwork and family photos.

Back at the venue, Platinum Events Catering and New Renaissance Cakes were arriving to bring the deliciousness. JM Cellars already had some of the best wines, so no worries there. Musician Robbie Christmas was also arriving to get set up for the cocktail hour, and Valentina Floral got the lovely decorations going.

The newlyweds were tucked away upstairs to relax for a bit, and soon it was time to arrive for dancing. Famed local musician serenaded the couples and their guests for most of the evening. First up was It Had to Be You by Frank Sinatra, followed by How Sweet It Is by James Taylor, In My Life by the Beatles, and Sinatra’s Fly Me to the Moon. A surprise song by the Maid of Honor/Sister of the Bride served for the third and final dance between newlyweds.

Dinner was served, champagne was poured during the salad. And so the feasting began, with toasts to follow, along with the bouquet and garter tosses (set to Love is a Battlefield and Sexual Healing respectively.) Open dancing capped off the evening’s celebration, only to be outdone by the LED balloon send-off!
