Welcome back, folks to Round 2 of our Favorite Wedding Vows of 2018! We have eight more wedding vows coming at you, so get the tissues, wipe off the makeup and buckle yourself in for some words of love!
Wilson Wedding
The Wilsons’ Wedding up at Radar Lake was touching for a number of reasons (one being that the bride’s uncle built the lake!) but their vows really crawled their way under our skin and made us feel all the love.
Mallory and Mike met in a magical little clearing at the edge of the lake, surrounded by dazzling lights and trees, and sealed the deal, but not without making us a little weepy first! Mike started out with the heavy-hitters, “Mallory, you’re my dream come true. I have loved you more and more every day since the moment I met you. I promise my love for you will grow every day as we grow old and wrinkly together.”
In response, Mallory brought out some knockouts of her own, “I’ve waited my whole life for you, this moment, this feeling. Every day that I wake up next to your smiling face, I fall more and more in love with you. I love who you are and who you’ve helped me become.” Not too long after that the emotions started to come out, so check it out for some tears!
Culpepper Wedding
The Culpeppers’ spectacular wedding at McCaw Hall is one of the highlights of our year, but the vows are just as grand. Stephen and Allyson met for an August wedding with tons of dancing, celebration and pure fun. Going first, Allyson goes through a series of funny moments and stories about her soon-to-be husband, “I will say your choice to channel Nacho Libre when we’re fighting is questionable, though, and it’s always really risky. With that said, it’s been ten years and whatever we’ve got going on here works.”
Stephen’s vows start off, like Allyson said...questionable…as he immediately goes in with, “You have been the most challenging, difficult, pressing, emotional, wonderful and genuinely happy part of my life. You have always been uniquely yourself and you follow your own code.” Lucky for them, they’re so good together. Not many bride’s would take to hearing “difficult and challenging” on their wedding day too keenly!
Shubha and Mike’s Wedding
A delightful Fremont wedding saw the union of Shubha and Mike in a warm, colorful ceremony. Bright sunny skies, a perfect summer day and rooftop venues made it a beauty! After hearing from the officiant and some friends and family, it was time for the two to share their vows. Simple, sweet and absolutely perfect, Shubha started out with “Mike, you’re my best friend and I’m so excited to call you my husband.” Shying away from heavy emotions, she finishes off with a simple promise to, “always love you, and I can’t wait for our next adventures together.”
Mike kept it short and sweet too, as this repeat ceremony (the two had already legally wed) inspired some recycled thoughts, “I can’t believe this day is finally here...again. I can’t believe I get to marry you...again. I promise to always love and cherish you...again.” Hey, we think it’s pretty rad and sweet, I don’t know about you!
Wetzler/Ashby Wedding
As cool as cucumbers, the Wetzler/Ashby wedding was a casual, laidback event that was perfectly suited to the bride and groom. Secluded up in the mountains at the Freestone Inn, their relaxing, carefree day still saw some lovely vows.
Tricia went first with a series of lines that make us want to take notes, “There is no time or place that I feel as safe and content as I do in your arms. I feel like these vows are more than just a promise, but also an amazing privilege.” She goes on for a while more, so you have to check out the video for more!
Kent reciprocated with a story of their first meeting where Tricia told him, “I don’t need you,” and he goes on to prove just how much they need finally each other.
Bishbeat Wedding
We knew the vows for the Bishbeats were going to be amazing because they also created their own last name! Chloe starts right out with the emotion and the love, “Tyler, who knew that my mother was right the whole time she was teasing me for my teenage crush on you, and that you were my dream guy…” which then triggered all of the emotions.
Tyler, not to be outdone, began with “Chloe, it took about a week for my heart to figure out that you were the one for me,” and he does not let up until everyone is reduced to a puddle of tears!
Vladyka Wedding
The awesome Trophy Lake Golf & Casting Club was the home of the Vladyka wedding where Alee and Alex delivered sweet vows that made us laugh and dab our eyes. Alee brought the jokes and the giggles, telling her husband, “It is so difficult to find a man like you because you’re so extraordinary, you have such a kind, innocent heart and that is one of the things that I love most about you.”
Alex wanted to take a trip down memory lane, reminding themselves of the time he tried to change a tire and then fast forwarding to today, where they are ready to embark on a new journey together as they look forward to all of the little, wonderful things awaiting them.
Duell Wedding
The Duell wedding was a fantastic June celebration of love and faith. Bethany and Nate tied the knot at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church and exchanged wonderful vows. Going first with a classic, suave speech, Nate promises, “I will always trust and honor you. I will stay committed to you with unwavering support. I will have patience and understanding. I have nothing but unconditional for you every day and I will be a champion for you.”
Following suit, Bethany declares, “there are so many things about you that I love. Firstly, people just enjoy being around you, myself included. You bring a lightness and unfailing optimism, and a pure, natural joy to those around you.” It gets sweeter after that, but we’ll let you see for yourself!
Smith Wedding
The final wedding for today took us to the Indian Summer Golf and Country Club where we saw the Smiths get married! Tarissa and Ryan looked ravishing out on the links, and the excitement for the union was universal.
Ryan begins first, opening his heart to his bride, “Since the day I met you, you’ve changed my life and made me a better person. You bring out the best in me and you always keep me positive and stay by my side, even if I’m difficult.” That’s not even the half of it!
Tarissa’s vows are markedly more emotional, almost crying before she even starts, “Ryan, I first wanted to tell you how thankful I am that I’m to be marrying you today. Over these past four years you’ve made me feel like the luckiest person on the planet.” Oh boy, get the tissues!
