Favorite Wedding Vows of 2019 - Part 4

by Scott Johnson

Today, we come to the end of our Favorites of 2019 Countdown. It has been a wonderful journey during these crazy times as we have revisited some of our favorite days and moments of when things were not so hectic. From Venues to Toasts, Indoor and Outdoor weddings, and finally Vows, we hope to have inspired, informed and entertained you. Whether you are in the planning stages of your own wedding or simply excited by the industry, we want to thank you for staying tuned with us while we tread forward and continue to capture your most special moments. Now, let us finish things off and take a peek at our final three Favorite Vows of 2019!

Shuster Wedding

Ballard is a blast, and we love to spend any time we can get up there. Heck, even our own Founder’s Bachelor party was hosted up there at a number of their awesome breweries. James and Melody were eager as can be to get hitched, and at the Olympic Rooftop Pavilion they shared their vows. James went first, sticking to what every girl would want to hear, “Melody, with you, everything is better.” It gets even better from there, “You are the most beautiful, kindest person I have ever met.” His attention soon turns to his promises, in which he vows to try and “anticipate her needs and fulfill them before you can ask.”

Melody had her turn next, delivering a mixture of sage wording and pure emotion, “Falling in love can be a moment, but staying in love is a process. I love you for how kind, smart and handsome you are. And I love us for how safe, brave and beautiful I feel when I am with you.” Hey Melody, are you up for hire to write others’ vows? We bet you could make a killing! Be sure to hear the rest of her vows, and try not to tear up! Don’t be afraid to get deep, if ever there is a moment to do it, it is now!

Pethick - Paul-Hayter Wedding

Farm weddings are up there with some of our favorites. The blend of rustic architecture and pleasant nature take you away from all your stresses, letting you enjoy a blissful day with those you love. Of course at the Red Cedar Farm you can also expect Pinball, goats and even more surprises. Alex and Jake were ready for their big moments with particular thanks to their friendly officiant. Alex went first, already overwhelming with emotion. Within seconds, she is making us misty and laughing with the intro line, “It’s crazy to think that this all started with a message I sent you off of a dating app...and you're welcome. I mean, my opening line wasn’t the greatest…”

Jake had to bring all guns blazing after that one, and you better bet that he did! He even admits, “yeah, that’s gonna be tough to follow,” but does so admirably with, “What. A. Ride. We are finally here.” He then dives deep into the emotion with, “I never thought I would know what raw, real love was, and how it’d feel or how it’d change someone's life. But when you came into my life, I found out real quick that it could happen.” If you aren’t getting some waterworks flowing yet, you better keep listening! Remember, don’t be afraid to give credit to your partner’s skills, but never doubt your own! These words are from your heart, so that’s all that matters.

Boyar Wedding

At last we come to our final entry in our Favorites of 2019 Countdown. What a remarkable year it was! To cap it off, we venture up to the Washington-Canadian border in the town of Blaine. Carrie and Phil, who picked the absolutely marvelous Semiahmoo Resort for their venue, wed with the Pacific Ocean filling out the backdrop. The picturesque venue only made their words that much more meaningful. Carrie was the first to go, and with soaring emotions she delivered some exceptionally powerful words.

With a mixture of compliments for Phil, as well as recognizing her own potential shortcomings, she details the early stages of their relationship before transitioning into something that sounds like it’s out of a movie. She says of partnership that it is, “a little give, and a little take.” Words to live by, and words to get a little weepy from! She doesn’t stop there, not even close! So you have got to check out the rest of her vows.

Touching on his Judaism, Phil followed up with vows that detailed what marriage means to him. He said, “Today we can look down and see that we have truly become one tree. I love thinking about how our tree came to be. Our tree grew from adventure.” He then sets off on recounting their shared interest, destinations and everything in between. And, of course, there is a dog. Who couldn’t deny that a dog (or cat!) can bring two people together. Our last lesson is simply to go with your heart. You are marrying your best friend and partner for life, if you are ready for this your heart should reveal your words to you!
