Boy, does November feel like a long time ago! Heck, even last week feels like a month has passed. We are setting in for the long-haul as it will now be a full month of the Stay Home, Stay Healthy order from Governor Inslee, which means more time for reading, writing and other fun things we typically do not have time for.
As always, we hope you are remaining healthy, safe and sane. This week we are back to weddings with a trip back to one of our early November weddings. Another multi-cultural event to follow our extravaganza from last week, this is the Kingdon - Chander Wedding.
Kanika and Tyler had some wonderful luck for their November wedding. Blessed with a near-pristine, blue sky, a good portion of our day was able to be spent outdoors! We would never predict this with a November wedding, so it was a splendid surprise. The Fremont Foundry has tons of indoor space as well, which you will see later is absolutely necessary for weddings like this!
Like last week’s wedding, it was apparent from the get-go that this was going to be a party. Out in the side lots and streets of Fremont, the music and dancing began. Throngs of people packed the area with beating drums and guests of all ages rocking it out in broad daylight. Surely, this caught the attention of locals (and the nearby patrons of Add-a-Ball bar) who cheered us on and watched from afar. As they made their way into the building, the two families met at the entrance and exchanged traditional greetings and food.
The joyous energy carried on inside the Foundry, where even more dancing was happening, all the way up to the rooftop ceremony. As the sun was setting to the west, the ceremony announced the marriage of Kanika and Tyler as husband and wife, followed by some mingling and photos. The sun blasted the sky with a myriad of pinks and oranges before finally settling into a deep blue. By that time, we were inside ready for a grand dinner that spanned multiple rooms.
Luckily, the Foundry can fit up to 450 people for dinner (850 people standing!) so there was plenty of room for everyone. The venue also has an approved list of caterers, so dinner was already being prepared while Kanika and Tyler were getting hitched. After their swoon-worthy first dance, the floor opened up for a number of choreographed routines and group dances. Tyler watched on as Kanika knocked it out of the park in a big group number, cheering his new wife on with bubbling excitement. It’s nights like this that you really do not have any desire to see end, but venues do have closing times and so the day eventually came to an end.
Thank you to Kanika and Tyler for choosing Best Made Videos® to film your amazing wedding day. We hope you had a great five-month anniversary!
