“I am absolutely in LOVE with my wedding video. My husband and I had planned for a December wedding but due to military reasons it had to be changed to August. At the time, my wedding was a month away and I was stressed beyond belief. Reid contacted me several times, he was very kind and patient with me and was very forgiving when I sent him his questionnaire a few weeks before our wedding.

The day of the wedding, we had two men helping with the video aspect of our wedding: Matt #1 and Matt #2. Both were so kind and helpful. They captured all the important moments and had some creative ideas that looked wonderful in the final product. Matt and his assistant arrived about an hour-ish earlier than planned, which was great since the bride (me) was an hour or two late 😂😂

The final result was more than great ! I’m so happy with the video and it will be something I will cherish forever. Reid helped me with finding music since I couldn’t find the perfect one. I’m so happy with our wedding video and I can’t stop sharing it with everyone!

Reid is amazing and 100% worth every penny. I cannot thank him and the Matts enough for capturing our special day. Thank you so much ❤️

Four months ago, we were lucky enough to film the Lessard Wedding at the Canterwood Golf & Country Club over in Gig Harbor. A blissful day back when the sun was out and didn’t set at 4pm. For Sarah and Trent, this was a day was quick in the making, as the two met a year ago at this time, but boy were they ready to get married! With Trent in the military, weddings like these are especially emotional and poignant as the time between the two is often very limited following the ceremony. Be sure to check back in to the blog next week for the Behind the Scenes to see how the two met and carried on their romance.

A full twelve-hour day was kicked off by the arrival of the coordinator at the Club, soon followed by the hair and makeup teams, and the bridal party. The suave dressing areas and common rooms added a sophisticated touch to the days proceedings. After several hours of getting ready, the rest of the wedding team would get to the venue, and with our arrival it was time to get shots of the bride in her dress just before the first look.

Outside awaited a soldier for his bride. Dressed in full regalia, he was looking mighty like a gentleman. The two embraced with a smile and a kiss, and we got plenty of more shots of the two of them acting all adorable. A little bit later and it was time for the rest of the group to join in, but that time was brief itself as the bride was whisked away to get ready for the ceremony. The guests arrived at 4, and were treated to some delicious lemonade while they waited for the ceremony to begin.

Once the guests were seated, Trent came from the main building out towards the little clearing where the ceremony was held. Like a man with a mission, he made his was briskly to the altar, and awaited his bride. When those magic words were read, and the two lovebirds stared lovingly into each other’s eyes, it was time for the sealing kiss and to become husband and wife.

Quick as can be, the ceremony came and went. The happy family was eager to take photos out on the greens. With even more smiles than before, it was a happy time out in the sun. Appetizers were served while the newlyweds had a bit of a break before returning right around 6 to enjoy dinner and the reception.

Following a sumptuous dinner, the cake-cutting began at 7 and led the way into dancing. Everyone was hot to their feet, busting moves like there was no tomorrow. With not much sunlight left we headed out to the links again for some more private shots of the newlyweds.

We hope you loved hearing a little bit about the Lessard Wedding and encourage you to come back for more when we go Behind the Scenes! Thank you again to Trent and Sarah for picking Best Made Videos® to film their wedding!

Sarah and Trent's story in their own words:

How did you guys meet?

I met Trent in December of 2018, right after he had come home on his 10-day leave from bootcamp. We were lucky that his leave fell during the holidays so he was home a little longer than expected. Once we met, we were literally inseparable. We spent every day together, and the days we didn't, we made up with FaceTime (which would later become our best friend). I went out on a date with him and we hit it off from the start. January 2nd rolled around and it was time for him to go back to military training in a different state. It really is true that distance makes the heart grow fonder, because we both fell more and more in love with each other as the days went by and we were apart.

Tell us about the proposal!

Trent had asked me, while he was at training, if I had any plans for August. I said no. He said, "good, because we're going on a trip, I don't know where or exactly when but we are." Military duties got in the way so it had to be postponed. I had visited Trent where he was training, which was about a 3 hour airplane flight plus an excruciatingly long, hot drive from the airport to the military base. But SO worth the effort. On my second visit down there, Trent proposed ! It was private, just him and I in the hotel room. Honestly, so many people have their proposals photographed and/or people around. But I honestly loved how intimate and private it was, just him and I and a whole new chapter we were about to embark on. I wouldn't have had it any other way. Then our families called us to congratulate us. I was down there for about 4 days to visit him before I  had to go home, but every minute I spent was special to me, and his proposal made it just that much better.

Why did you choose your venue?

Honestly, we had initially gone with Port Gamble for a December wedding, but since Trent was going to be deploying around that time, we had to reschedule to August. Luckily, Canterwood Golf Country Club welcomed us with open arms. My wedding planner, Rhianna, has been amazing through all of this, she's been so quick and helpful. Our guest list shrunk, but we still have a lot of people coming, and although it's not the venue I had picked initially, I still love it.

What are you most excited to see in the video?

Trent getting a first look at me in my wedding dress, and just about everyone I talked to about my dress have said that he will cry. So I'm eagerly anticipating it. Haha. And our first dance as Husband and Wife.
