“I’ve hired Reid for both a wedding and a work fundraiser and had a great experience with both!”
“Beautiful, non-corny video. I waffled a little on getting video at all because a lot of people I know didn’t, but I’m SO glad we did it and chose a high-quality team rather than just going with the cheapest or first we could find. Why spend so much on one day if you’re not going to be able to ever see it again? Reid does fantastic work, we loved the result as did our families and friends.”
“We hired Best Made Videos for our wedding video and are so glad we did! My philosophy is that video is worth prioritizing because you’ll have it forever and will make everything ELSE you’re spending on (like beautiful decor, a dress, etc) worthwhile because you can actually look at them and appreciate them for years to come. We went with the best quality person we could find, and it paid off.”
“We love our wedding video! It’s extremely professional looking and moving. I know video can seem like an extraneous expense but honestly don’t regret it one bit. We went low-budget on things like flowers and venue, but did not want to risk having a low quality video since it’s something we’ll have forever.”
“We’re so glad we hired Reid! Our wedding video is wonderful and not corny or cringy like I’d feared before hiring someone. He was extremely professional and stayed even longer than we’d asked for.”
Welcome everyone to another one of our fabulous summer weddings! This one comes to us from just before the start of fall, right in that wonderful time where the air is getting just a little bit cooler and the leaves start to dazzle with their myriad of colors. And what better place to have a wedding at this time of year than the Washington Park Arboretum? The splendid sprawling land on the east side of the Seattle isthmus has so many wonderful nature walks, scenic views of the lake and plenty of places to get hitched! Let’s take a look!
Our day with Dave and Annie did not get going until they were already looking super spiffy. At the Arboretum, we got to witness their first look which should make romantics swoon. Dave stood waiting on the bridge hanging over Lake Washington Boulevard. While it is true name does not exactly inspire the most lovely ideas (Arboretum Sewer Trestle) it is definitely the prettiest artificial feature in the whole park. With so much ground to cover around the Arboretum, we had countless locations to capture the bride and groom.
The rest of the family would pop in a little while later for group photos, certainly at an opportune time as the sun had just started to creep through the higher greenery and splash onto the grass in the background. After plenty of smiles, it was time to head back to Wisteria Hall for the ceremony. The square venue with the peaked, clear roof is a superb space that lets in lots of natural light. Dave stood eagerly at the altar with his friend Riddhi from UW who on top of being a grad student was also the officiant!
After delivering some hilarious, heartwarming and ultimately tear-inducing vows, the two lovebirds were just about to become husband and wife. With a cacophony (wondrous symphony?) of kazoos and other noisemakers, Riddhi gave the OK for them to kiss. Even more applause and kazoos sent them back down the aisle where Dave and Annie signed the paperwork.
More family photos followed as the family was eager to join in with the newlyweds. After half-an-hour they headed back into the reception for some drinks and other snacks. Before long it was time for dinner, toasts and even more toasts. Keeping everything on site, the reception was just a few yards away from the ceremony. A silly cake-cutting of a scrumptious cake will always leave a smile on our faces, as will a serene first dance in the dim light of a waning summer. Once the traditional dances were over, it was really time to party; and with the days still long, the party went as long as the venue would allow.
Thank you to Annie and Dave for picking Best Made Videos® to film their wedding day! We hope you are enjoying a blissful first six months of marriage!

How did you guys meet?
OkCupid (Annie’s first ever internet date!)
Tell us about the proposal!
Dave proposed on the last day of their vacation in Cuba, but Annie wasn’t quite ready to tie the knot so she surprised him by re-proposing two years later on a trip to San Francisco.
Why did you choose your venue?
We love parks and strongly believe in the value of public services. We’re happy to be supporting a beautiful space that everyone in this area enjoys for free.
What are you most excited to see in the video?
People! Us and our family and friends. I’ve noticed that in a lot of wedding photos there’s a lot of attention paid to pretty details like shoes, rings, flowers, etc. We’d be happy to see that, just not at the expense of faces. We want this to be a way not just to remember our day but to remember how all our guests looked at this time in our lives — especially older folks. We want to see our vows and first dance but don’t need the entire thing to be just us. The more of other people’s faces, the better. We’re also excited to have a recording of toasts.
