Every wedding and video shoot has its own unique challenges and forces us to learn and re-adapt. Today’s 2nd post and lesson for clients and professionals alike is, IT'S ALL IN THE LITTLE THINGS!
Today I had the pleasure of attending and filming a wonderful backyard wedding in Bellevue, Wa. I was amazed at the amount of care and attention the newly wed couple spent on all the little details from their ceremony.
The couple (both middle-aged and very much in love) invited family and friends up front for a Beatles sing-a-long, ready poetry, had wonderful speeches by both co-workers and family (their sons and daughters) and even recited old Hebrew passages.
I was originally called to video the ceremony last minute due to the bride's father being medically unable to travel, but once I arrived I found such a sense of joy knowing that I could play a part in preserving these wonderful precious memories for all time. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime celebration for everyone involved and something I'm sure they will find pleasure in going back and re-experiencing through video for years to come.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, HIRE A WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER! Just kidding...or not.
