Right now, Trinity Tree Farm probably looks a little different than it did when we visited it back in April. The Christmas Tree Farm/Wedding Venue is a rare example of a place that brings extravagant cheer for two entirely different reasons. As a wedding venue, their 40-acre plot of land near Issaquah features a gorgeous view of Mt. Rainier and a sense of peace only a short way from the city. It can also host upwards of 150 people in both indoor and outdoor venues. What’s even cooler is you can hire your own food trucks to come. Plus there’s games like pool and shuffleboard already set up.
Back in April, we were met with some typical Seattle spring rain, which helped add to an aura of coziness as everyone was getting ready inside. Luckily, the bride and groom opted for the indoor ceremony. There wasn’t going to be any raining on this parade. The interior at the farm feels like home, which really ties things together nicely.
Meeting for their first look inside the house, Anna and Sebastian shared a kiss before we walked them around what covered areas we could to prevent them from getting drenched in the rain. Nevertheless, the photos were charming and sweet—who needs sunny skies when you live in Seattle? The rest of the party joined in for some photos and everyone got in the mood for some really funny group shots that had not only them laughing, but us too!
Everyone soon filed into the venue for the wedding, and when Anna walked down the aisle, the excitement on Sebastian’s face was worth a million bucks. After the officiant delivered their legendary history of how they came to this moment, she declared them “partners in life,” before finally letting them kiss and become just that.
And then it was time for food and wine. With the fireplace warming the cold guests, and the booze flowing to warm their spirits, we gave the newlyweds an umbrella and had them walk around the grounds together, trying our hardest to prevent any water getting on their rocking digs. Soon they returned to the reception hall with lights draped across the vaulted ceiling—purely magic.
The rest of the afternoon flew by with the bride and groom making sure to meet and greet everyone there. Soon, it was time for dancing and even more celebrating, especially when the lights started to dim and the sun disappeared. Illuminated by sparkling lights and the occasional cellphone flash, the dancing went on for what felt like hours. At the end of the night, the newlyweds were sent off with a forest of sparklers held by their loved ones.
