Welcome back everyone for our very last Behind the Scenes look from 2019. It was a full year of love, happiness and joy as we were unaware just what the start of a new decade would bring. Nevertheless, these happy memories have kept us going in these strange times and we hope they have brought you comfort as well. Do not fear, though, we will still have plenty of more to talk about with our 2019 weddings when we break down our Favorites. Without further ado, let us take one last deep dive into the Stotts Wedding.

The lovely Olympic View Estates in Lake Stevens comes “fully equipped for any kind of gathering,” but for Shelby it was “the view and the landscaping,” and the fact that they have “the groom’s room has their own putting green inside,” which would make any golf enthusiast right at home. For the first time in a while, we do not have a couple who met online, per se, as Paul and Shelby were set up on a blind date. Paul’s mom gets her haircut at Salon Morado, which is owned by Shelby’s cousin. A little number exchange and a text set them up for dinner and the rest was history.
We arrived at the venue at 12:30 on September 21st along with Kendra Kerschel, the photographer. Quickly getting to work on the detail shots while the bride, groom and wedding party got their wardrobes on. By 1:30, DJ Justin and Cathouse Pizza were already getting set up and it was just about time for the first look. As was mentioned in our first article, their first look is utterly hilarious and sweet, but you have to check it out for yourselves!
The rest of the wedding party came out 45 minutes later, dressed to the nines and we got half an hour with them before the family came out. At 3:15 was the final check to make sure that everything was in place for the guests to arrive, who would start doing so at 3:30. After several hours of photos, the bride was hidden away so she could get ready for the ceremony.
Starting at 4, this ceremony was so much fun and emotional. The stunning views behind the altar took everyone’s breath away, and the handwritten vows left us all a little misty-eyed. Once they heard the magic words, the two kissed and became husband and wife.
Cocktail hour kicked off right after, with the newlyweds taking care of the boring paperwork, and at 5pm they started taking their seats for dinner and the grand entrance. With bellies full of pizza, the dancing began at 6 along with the photo booth from Act 1 Photo Booth, and the celebration got into full swing. After an hour or so of dancing, the bouquet was tossed, and the last call was made. We headed out at 8:30 after such a fantastic day!
Thank you once again to Shelby and Paul for choosing Best Made Videos® to film their wedding day! We hope your first year has been magical!
